Name: Caliban. Door: He was formally a dominant in this game. Canon: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina Canon Point: "Chapter Thirty-Six: At the Mountains of Madness"- Caliban is left in the void after Sabrina rescues her friends. Age: A little over 2,000 years by this point. If we're including the time he spent hanging out after Sabrina left him for dead in the Pontius Pilate part of the competition. Though he looks in his twenties r since he doesn't age since he's made out of clay. Appearance: He looks about twenty to twenty-three. Dupe Canon- He's spent over a year in Duplicity before he was taken back to his world. In that time he's become a little more tolerant of Mortals and even protective of the ones who he is genuinely fond of. He'd found a submissive to keep a contract with, that kept rolling on into another over the year which formed a very intense relationship between him and John Allerdyce. Caliban also managed to find a job he's well suited for at the Scratch and the Casino around it. He is still quite affected from his memories of his time of the void and the utter knowledge that only death really awaits him back home which for an immortal is certainly something that makes him try and feel more permanently planted in the city with that network of friends and lovers he'd made over his time in the city. He was briefly in trouble with the city for sleeping with some dominants but it hasn't really done anything to curb his behavior in who he shows some affection for. Personality Positive traits: Honourable : There's a streak of possible honor in him as well- if he likes you, he does have a certain need to try to protect you- though it's hard to know if it's genuine affection or just another manipulation from Caliban. At least from the outside perspective, Caliban is shown to have his own sense of honor and nobility when he's shown to offer himself up to Pontius Pilate's whips rather than, in his words "See Sabrina, the Queen of Hell, be debased in such a way". And instead allows himself to take her place. He's also shown later to help out Sabrina's friends when Roz is turned into stone- willing to extend whatever affection he has to her friends considering it was a crisis. He's someone who will burn down the city to protect you or avenge you. Or at the very least go to war over what he considers something has tarnished someone he loves and honors or memory of that person in the case of his late wife. One of the Sabrina Spellman even tried to test him to see just how honorable and true to his word he could be when he committed to a person- in this case, her twin. This Sabrina tested him by giving up something that was quite intimate to him- literally his private parts to prove how much he loved her. A choice he struggled with before he ultimately committed to it much to the Sabrina twin's surprise and the other's amusement. Thankfully it proved that she could trust her husband's words. His time in the city has certainly enhanced that side of him as well- in his little pocket of the city, he's shown that he's someone people can rely on to be there for them. Even if it's simply lingering in the corner with a smirk and some magic on hand. While at times he can seem amoral. He does have an internal code to what he lives up to and it's mostly to protect what he considers worth saving in this life since his own back home has no future. When he's had submissives, he's tried to put their needs before his own and strives to be something that could protect them if they needed it. Negative traits: Arrogant: Caliban is someone who is literally shaped by the environment around him. Unfortunately for him, it was the literal pits of hell who formed and shaped him with the sole purpose he was going to rule hell and take over the realms of the world man and angels to be the new circles of hell after he'd done conquering them. So there's an unmistakable air of arrogance about him that's fundamental to who he is as a person. His thirst for the throne affects how he views life through the lens of both desirings it and thinking he deserves it. It's something that plays at least partly, how he interacts with most people. And that's something that's never going to change- part of him will always feel entitled to his kingdom and his throne. Driven/ Determined: He's someone who thinks he's going to win in every fight- verbal or otherwise, considering he's also more than proven quite a few times that he's not the least bit trustworthy either. Caliban is willing to cheat to win and to get what he wants, or at least what he thinks he deserves as proven by both him stealing King Herod’s crown out from under Sabrina while they're fending off King Herod and again when he's pretending to be Judas to steal the silver off Sabrina to win the last contest. He's also just generally a dick to people he dislikes- making a few pointed remarks and bitchy comments to get under someone's skin if he doesn't like them. manipulative: Caliban shows an ability and an aptitude for being able to have people do what he wanted. And he's shown to have a silver tongue and is able to win quite a few allies in both hell in his attempt to lure people over to his side of the contest. He manages to charm at least 666 demons- enough to rise up against Sabrina and Lilith's possible rule. The prince of hell knows that the right smile and the right set of words can get him what he wants and isn't ever scared to drop a teasing word or two to the right person or partner. He's spent a long time seeing life as a chessboard to try and win the crown and the kingdom he thinks he's owned and allowed to rule. Even when he first meets Sabrina- he sees her as another potential way to get the throne- another pawn to use, even if he ultimately came to love her. First, he tried to beat her in the contest, tried to his one of her friend's unfortunate situations to get into her good graces, and then he simply proposed to marry her to secure the throne and use the position of consort to his advantage. He has even been known to take on the face of someone else and lure people into doing his dirty work in that way- something else he did to Sabrina when he pretended to be Judas to gain the last objects in the Unholy Regalia. When he has a goal to achieve, he's not above using pretty words or straight out lies to get what he wants or what he thinks he's entitled to provided he doesn't care about your existence to a certain extent. Powers and Abilities: As Per the wiki Spell Casting: He's shown to have very strong abilities when it comes to actually casting spells and a great amount of knowledge of some of the older ideas of magic, such as the Pygmalion spell they use to save Roz. Wiki: The power to change, manipulate and control objects, events, actions, and phenomena through the use of incantations, commands, rituals, gestures, or pure sheer force of will. Glamour: The power to disguise a physical appearance. Caliban used this to take the form of Judas. Teleportation: The power to move from one location to another without occupying the space in between. Caliban's version tends to be this tornado of fire version of it. Ageless: He's also- apparently able to deal with the general passage of time pretty well considering he spent a few thousand years as clay. Lack of blood: While it's not power as such. It should be noted that since Caliban is made of clay- he doesn't actually bleed anything like blood. He does however still experience pain and suffering. So he's in no way immortal or immune to death or pain. He's also killed in an alternative universe via an archangel. So high demon or not. He can still die. Inventory: King Herod’s crown- If only since it's a trophy of victory and also a source of infernal energy for spells. Though other than a few of his outfits from hell, he doesn't exactly have anything of personal significance he'd chose to bring with them. His personal sword that can catch fire on a whim.
