He knows exactly why, that it's because of how close that is to Nick's favorite nickname for him -- pretty mortal boy -- and now he's feeling some kind of emotional hangover, there's an element of rebounding tugging the edges of all the things he likes about Caliban that also remind him of Nick.
Or, on the other hand, maybe it's actually safer this way. Reggie has no expectations of Caliban beyond being a good time and a friendly (as well as pretty) face, a feeling which he would assume must be mutual, so in that spirit, maybe there's no harm in them taking some comfort in each other.

He was really selling the rockstar vibe considering he was a former king of Hell. By the time Reggie gets himself together- Caliban was just likely to be found at the bar- leaning against it as he poured himself a drink of one of the top shelf whiskeys- after all Dorian was gone and he doubted Magnus was willing to fire him over such a thing.]
[ It doesn't take Reggie long to get there -- probably longer than it does Caliban, but not by too much -- dressed in dark jeans and a red and blue polo shirt. Caliban is easily spotted as ever and Reggie walks right on over, sliding onto the next stool over. ]
[ Caliban teased as he turned to face the other- his hand curling around his drink as it raised it to his lips and had a few sips of it, enjoying the slight burn of the drink before finally just downing it all and placing it back on the table.]
Shall we go to mine then? Unless you want to hang around here till the shows start.
[ Grinning warmly, Reggie leans against the bar, chin on his fist, glancing briefly at the rows of bottles behind the bar before he looks at Caliban. He's a sight for sore eyes, not just right now, but especially right now. ]

[ And he is actually curious to see what Caliban's place looks like. It's hard for him to even imagine it. ]
[ The Demon was just going to give a warm and genuine smile at those words- and he's just stepping forward and moving his hand to brush it down along the others waist. It might have been a rather intimate touch but...well, at this point between them- they'd done a lot more than that already. ]

[ His words almost come out like a purr, as his eyes met Reggie's and just like that the tunnel of fire was moving around them both to transport them across down to the Up apartments. A few moments later the fire tornado was lowering and fading away to leave him and Reggie standing in the Demon's apartment.
Caliban had been here long enough to make it his own, and certainly had attempted to make it feel more like his realm and his home-..which meant a lot of dark red walls and black furniture. And several weapons literally the walls, including his rather big sword he'd use to ride into battle with. There was even his crown placed on one of shelves just under that very sword. Caliban doesn't move from his place pressed against Reggie, sucking on the inside of his cheek as he let his thumb slip under Reggie's shirt and trace along his hip teasingly.]
[ It's a jarring transition, quite unlike the times Reggie's teleported with Nick before, and he grips Caliban tightly throughout as if they'd be separated somehow if he were to let go.
Even once the fire clears, Reggie holds on for another few moments, then draws back slightly so he can look around the place, blinking with interest. Honestly, he could have probably guessed it would look something like this, but he's glad to see it anyway. ]

[ He moves close again, grinning as he feels Caliban's hand wandering. Reggie steps away just teasingly out of reach, toward the shelves, looking at the crown. ]
[ Caliban's aware that his own form of travel was a little..jarring for non-warlocks but no-one has outright complained to him, so he really paid it no mind. His eyes locked to Reggie as he glances around his place with a little smirk playing on his lips. There's a gentle chuckle at the others words as he allows his own eyes to sweep over the apartment.
It wasn't bad- it wasn't his kingdom or his throne room but...well, it did while he was here.]

[ He lets his hand move from the others hip with a little hesitation as the other moved just out of his reach. There's a little hum at that question before he was nodding, his blond hair bouncing with each movement of his head.]

He walks back over, giving Caliban a quick peck on the mouth. ]

But while I'm here, we can always pretend I'm yours for the night, if you want.
