You could never not be cute, John. A mortal choosing to be a demon tends to be a corrupted soul. But you'd still look the same. Demons who are born look less...appealing. You might have a demon form though.
Mortals, when they...pass are judged. A total tally of their sins and follys. It's not like preachers would have you think but the process still happens. The sweet hereafter- a perfect world created just for you. Blissful happiness.
Unless you promise your soul to another- like one would to a demon. The demon in question gets to do what with that soul what they'd like. Which most of the time means you're dragged down to one of the circles of hell.
